Saturday, 23 June 2012 - Sausage & Lentil Stew followed by Vanilla, Honey & Strawberry Nut Crumble
I made this delicious stew last night for dinner - perfect comfort food for winter, simple and easy to make, and bonus, John said he liked it too! It's basically little pork sausages (chipolatas) in a lentil, chorizo, onion, tomato, basil and oregano sauce, with some fresh parsley on top. All cooked in the one pot - easy and satisfying.
The recipe is from the July Super Food Ideas magazine (gotta give credit where credit is due), and I'll definitely be making it again.
I also made a dessert to eat, but I was so preoccupied with eating it that I didn't think to take a photo until it was all gone! This is the pic from the cookbook (Woolworths Good Taste magazine, June 2010). Mine looked even better than this) if you can believe it.
This is one of my favourite desserts to make and eat. Little pots of warm fruity, nutty, crumbly bliss. Yum!!!
